Over the last 15 years, our platform has evolved through continuous improvement and feedback from real-world use by MGAs, MGUs, Wholesalers, and Carriers, making it uniquely suited to the industry’s challenges. Recently, Expert Insured underwent a complete redesign, spearheaded by the Selectsys Tech team—experienced professionals with over 20 years in the insurance technology space. Rebuilt from the ground up in .NET Core, Expert Insured is now a highly configurable, scalable platform, offering industry-leading efficiency and security. Hosted on Microsoft Azure, Expert Insured supports the entire insurance lifecycle, from submissions, quoting, and policy issuance to endorsements and compliance, ensuring high performance, security, and adaptability for all users.

Spencer McDonald is the CEO of Expert Insured, developing technology solutions for MGAs, MGUs, Wholesalers, and Carriers. Previously, he worked at McKinsey & Company, implementing AI and GenAI-driven InsurTech solutions to enhance underwriting and automation. He holds dual Master’s degrees from MIT in Aeronautics & Astronautics and Transportation & Logistics. With a strong background in InsurTech and AI, he focuses on improving policy management, underwriting, and operational efficiency in the insurance industry.

Srinu Kalyan

CTO

Srinu Kalyan is the Principal and CTO at Expert Insured, bringing 20+ years of experience in financial services and insurance technology. He holds an MBA from Arizona State University and, as CEO of Selectsys and Selectsys Tech, has led the development of AI-driven insurance solutions. At Expert Insured, he drives technology strategy, leveraging digital transformation and automation to modernize insurance operations.

Tim McDonald

COO

Tim McDonald is the COO of Expert Insured, with nearly 20+ years of experience in insurance technology and operations. He holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee and co-owns Selectsys, Selectsys Tech, and Remote Books Online, where he developed back-office automation and MGA digital systems. At Expert Insured, he focuses on scaling operations and driving efficiency in the InsurTech space.

Beata Robinson

VP of Client Engagement

Beata Robinson is the Vice President of Client Engagement at Expert Insured, with 18+ years in the insurance industry. She holds a Master’s degree from Nicolaus Copernicus University and has held leadership roles at Brown & Brown Insurance and Morstan General Agency. At Morstan, she helped design Expert Insured. A licensed P&C and Life & Health Insurance Broker and Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI), she specializes in client engagement and business development.
